Back to School ~ Bedtime Routine

Ahhhh, bedtime.

I admit, I love bedtime.

For myself and for my kids.

I even wrote an entire post about our favorite oily helps for bedtime here.

More Practical Ideas…

  • Put a diffuser in your child’s room and begin running it before you settle in for bedtime to get the room nice and cozy with a calming aroma.
  • Share bedtime oil options with your child and ask which one s/he prefers. My daughter does not like some that I love. Her favorite bedtime oil is actually Stress Away with Peace & Calming coming in a close second. My boys both like Peace & Calming. I like Tranquil, Rutavala, Lavender, Cedarwood, and Peace & Calming.
  • Make special roll-on bottles for your kids so they each have their very own. My kids really took ownership when I did this and enjoyed having their own bottle of their favorite. This also allowed me to dilute as necessary, since they tend to slather a little more than I would. I diluted more than the recommended amount because of this!

Need some extra roll-on bottles?

There are many different roll-on bottles you can choose from. We choose to use an inexpensive bottle so we can make many different ones easily.  These are the exact bottles we have used for over 3 years. We also use the roller fitments {item # 4578} from Young Living and use our empty YL bottles with those.

Here are some other roll-on bottle choices {click here to see post if you are reading via email} from Amazon…

Need an extra diffuser?  We recommend this one as an inexpensive way to get another diffuser. Not only is it inexpensive, but it is actually my very favorite bedroom diffuser. This is an inexpensive way to get a diffuser in each child’s bedroom.
